>>38688746>I thought UBs are the answer for minmax competitive playersHow so? They're just pokemons that don't look like pokemons and aren't called pokemons
But then again I don't do competitive other than playing showdown every now and then with my friends
>designsWell, I'll give you that, but WHY?
That's the problem I have with them, is that they look so out of place in pokemon (save for maybe pheromosa), but why would they need to go out of what constitues pokemons?
They keep pushing the boundaries with every gen, and I'm cool with that because then it's incremental, but fucking guzzlord? What's even that thing supposed to be? Why is it in? Why did they feel the need to add it?
And honestly I don't even care about content anymore, rather, I don't care about seeing a hundred and fifty mons with every gens, even a hundred and I'd be more than happy, hell, FIFTY
I'd rather they took their sweet time to make good looking things that make sense instead of throwing everything out the window and using the 'uh okay but they're from another dimension so it's fine if they look like trash ahah' meme
Also more variants, I honestly wouldn't give a shit if every single game from now on would be filled with 50% variants like we had in alola, I was kinda skeptic about it at first but it really grew on me and it makes much more sense than having 'pidgeotto/rattata but not really #5'
>StoriesYeah, I don't know if they even want to get out of that hole, because japan loves this shit, the stakes need to be raised again and again and again
And they love all the stupid over the top stuff like mega fusions and Z moves and whatnot, and I'd bet my right hand we'll have trainer/pokemon fusion or something even more stupid by the end of next decade
It's kind of sad that I'm more looking forward to the 'mobile spin-off' that will be lgpe 2 than I am for SS or whatever comes afterwards
It says a lot about where their priorities lie and my faith in them at this point
