It was a good movie to start mass interest in Pokemon universe.

A lot of the movie was garbage, but it had some really nice parts. When the nigger wasn't the center of attention for his daddy issues or being a general fuckwat I liked the pokemon.

It was kind of predictable but I enjoyed it. I do feel like the normies I watched it with didn’t recognize a lot of the Pokémon though. The movie probably would have done better if they used more of the recognizable Pokémon.

Plot was predictable, i knew Pikachu was his dad as soon as they showed in the newspaper that the father was also a detective. And im not even a clever guy.
It was entertaining tho, and i think they did a good job making the movie enjoyable for everyone, its kids friendly but at the same time enjoyable for adults too without the tryhard edginess.

I know Its a meme at this point , but the movie had soul. The fact that they evenly showed Pokémon from every gens that 80% of the audience wouldnt recognize, and the little references to all games and not just RB and GS, made me feel like this movie was made from Pokémon fans for Pokémon fans.I felt targeted in a subtle way. Yes im probably being naive but it felt nice watching the movie
