what's the problem with pokeride?
key items or something would be preferable, but at least its better than HMs

alternatively, make any Pokemon eligible of performing it just not need the move in their moveset to do it.

Hopefully Pokémon-amie gets expanded on in the future. They should make it where the Pokémon turns around and you massage its back, or if that Greninja shows off its feet, you could proceed to rubbing its feet to raise its stats or something.
