most of pokemon's income is from merch, not the games, that includes mobileshit
they NEED new mainline games to introduce new pokemon
mobile games may make a lot of money, but its from 5% of their audience, they cannot promote new pokemon that way

Gacha games are games based upon Japanese vending machines called Gachapons which give you little figurines for money.
Gacha games are usually the same kinda thing but with whatever characters they have, you can then use the characters in battle or stuff like that. It's RNG based on what characters you get so it's essentially gambling, at least if you pay for in-game currency that is.
FEH and Dragalia Lost are a couple of mobile gacha games, if you wanna check em out.

If they really get slammed by any laws, I imagine it'd be easy enough to just change the game in those countries and perhaps simply outright allow you to purchase characters instead of a random chance. It might not make ALL of the money, but it'd still pull in a boatload.

If this Pokemon is a Cherrim and Sunny Day is active, it changes to Sunshine Form and the Attack and Special Defense of it and its allies are multiplied by 1.5.

It's almost like you fuckers completely forgot that GameFreak and The Pokemon Company spent a majority of the conference sucking off bugmen.

The waifufaggotry, the increasing infantile nature of the franchise, the refusal to take any big risks whatsoever, it's all for the sake of making sure Pokemon can translate to chinkland with no complications under their totalitarian requirements in order to rake in that sweet, delectable bug money.
And the best way to do that, of course, is through mobileshit.
Once these games prove to be even more profitable than the core titles thanks to the Chinese Market now being a factor, they're going to eventually acquire full rights to Pokemon from Nintendo, and then fuck off to go full-mobile in order to transcend into Pokemon's Final Form.
