>>38705270Before the multiverses stuff was officially acknowledged in-game there was still a consistent continuity across the games, events were only slightly different depending on which version you were playing. Now that the series has gone full multiverse that continuity went out the window and now anything can happen at any time for any reason, characters will show up out of nowhere even if it makes no sense for them to timeline-wise, Game Freak will simply change established events of past games however they want and justify it by saying it's a different universe. It's extremely lazy storytelling. Yes I'm mad.
