The quality of pokemon has decreased dramatically after gen 4. The pokemon designs got worse. And the video games became shit. Don’t > me tho.

Could be. But i the designs have just been worse and theres no denying that. Also i thought the battle frontier was an awesome idea and they took that shit out aswell. Gimmicks like mega evolutions and all that make me cringe aswell. The games were better when i was younger. Not sure if its because i was a kid or if they just truly were great

You guys value pokemon design way waaay too highly. Sure, it'd suck if there weren't enough pokemon to your taste to make a team but what are the chances of that?

I think the most important aspect to making these games fun to play through from start to finish is the exploration, map/level design, atmosphere, and lore.

The hyper focus on pokemon design over gameplay, world, and plot is why gen war discussions are rarely interesting.

But since this is the designated funposting thread, gen 5 has some of the best designs in the series btw

I feel like gen 4 was planned to be the last pokemon games. Or at least the way we knew them.
Gen 3 didn't do so hot
There were alot more spin offs in gen 3 and 4. Probably seeing how to move forward if they couldn't rely on the main series.

I can't prove any of this but why else would you make God catchable?
