>>38718827To make a long story short, the people who edit and curate pretty much everything related to prehistory on Wikipedia are a shadowy cabal of slimy fucks operating as a self-imposed figure head for the paleoart community. The creeps on Wikipedia will more often than not shut down any dissenting voices and will choose their own over others. There are also other vectors of unacceptable behavior in the community, like this thread's subject Arvalis.
This is bad enough, but the precedent they've set has created an enormous horde of hyperfixated weirdos who will haze upcoming artists for the slightest scientific error in their work, especially if the subject is dinosaurs. Multiple people have come out about this, but the problem is so ingrained into the community that it's incredibly difficult to do anything about it.
