No matter what, this game has a lot going in its favor.
1. The multi island aesthetic is very disjointed and jarring
2. The lack of power on the 3DS left the games running like they have stage 4 cancer, they also dropped triple and rotation because of this
3. Fake British themes are easier to swallow then Fake Hawaii themes, less hyper exotic environments
4. The Switch is a console rather then a stand alone hand-held, this gives some space for experimentation
5. It's being worked on by the waifu guy, so if you like those, it's gonna be a good generation for you
I'm more optimistic then anything, at the very least this will make a clean slate for them to build on. No more keeping the same problems the previous game had, probably.
