GameFreak really owes it to us to include following Pokémon after cutting it from Gen 7.
I just want to travel a region in 3D with Umbreon always at my side.
Expected Eevee to be catch-able early to mid-game.
A Steel-type evolution would be mighty fine, too.

Why do we need a bird and a rodent every single gen? I want them to make new early mons that don't follow any stale rule, especially since we already know we're going to get Rattata and the others in the first few routes anyway.

They're not going to do a history of Pokemon. They would have done it in the previous direct and the only reason they did for sun and moon was the 20th anniversary it all cums together.

At the end of the day the DeX is supposed to be a somewhat realistic collection of living things found in that region.

They are part of the Generation archetypes, it's not like having them removes any pokemon that would otherwise be in the game, so what is problem with them being there?

I didn't mean the literal region it's based off of.

I meant speaking from a biome/habitat point of view. For example it's common for most IRL continents to have their own unique rodent or bird so it makes sense that a pokemon region would have a rodent or bird included in their Dex. It just makes sense to have a rodent, bird and bug for each region. All the other spots in the Dex can be more fantasy based.

It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Whether it's ice type or whatever doesn't really matter.

This, but I think they will only show the box legendaries and early route bird, rodent, and bug mons (so, 5 in total).

Really want to see the new mechanic for the gyms. I hope the battles move more fluidly and are more intense.
