Only game that is consistent with it's challenge, every "harder" game just has a few bullshit fights
I mean they're all easy as fuck but I at least want to feel like my team comp is a meaningful decision
Hopefully we get the same base difficulty again with challenge mode as an option on top but I know it won't happen

I played finished Colosseum for the first time around a year ago now and I agree. Evice was tough and I fucking loved it. I actually caught his Tyranitar the first time around but I lost. Me being naive thought that he would have 5 pokemon instead of 6 now giving me an edge went back and promptly got stomped again by his team with the help of a newly added Aggron. Truly fucking stellar games Colo and GoD are.

My strategy was Mimikyu. Get off a STAB Never Ending Nightmare while it busts disguise, and proceed to Shadow Sneak immediately after. EZPZ and all because I was able to get my shit straight right in front of Necrozma.

I wouldn't really say that Sun and Moon are difficult, but the vast majority of the game is braindead easy which can make the sudden difficulty spikes seem greater than they actually are, since you've probably steamrolled all of the content beforehand without stopping to think of things like team versatility or strategy because they're wholly unnecessary.
