The Mewnium Z was a bonus to an already well-distributed mon. Not only is Mew easy to get, it's easy to spawn and transfer to Pokebank because they left in all the glitches in the virtual console releases of RBY. Mew is a guaranteed quest mon in Go and they even give you a free Mew with the shitty $50 pokeball controller as an incentive to buy it for LGPiss.
There is no good reason to gatekeep Glameow. They might put it in only 1 version of SwSh but it'll still appear because it's overdue to appear again.
