If you like Pokemon on a base level (battling and catching) and don't care about breeding and competitive, then you'll like it. I for one found it refreshing and the capture mechanics were fun aside from some mons having absurd capture rates. It's not how I'd want future games to be, but it's a nice little game in it's own right if you can get it cheap.
Also I want to fuck Pikachu.

I liked this game.

It is not how I want future games to be and it is true that there is no postgame. But it was fun to play through the story.

I don't get the Kanto hate. I wish they focus on more regions, but Kanto is the beginning of the series and it is understandable.

I own Let's GO Eevee. It's definitly missing the fun of wild battles, but otherwise its a solid remake. I honestly have more fun just replaying the original Red and Blue, and Firered is way better. Kanto only pokemon with the special split and new types with limited move pools is actually what ruins it. I think the only dark type is alola muk and raticate, which is sad
