Just got my paycheck.
Is this worth buying at all? I really liked the first mystery dungeon on GBA.
If not this then I'll probably get Animal Crossing instead.

Apparently it has the best gameplay out of all the PMD games, and a decent story, but EoS has the best story by far.

You acquire pokemon as if they were their own individual characters. There is no "recuriting" in the traditional sense, and you're locked to only having one of each pokemon, unless they are part of an evolutionary chain (such as Pikachu) wherein you can then have two Raichu.
Also the pokemon you can bring with you may be limited because of stupid reasons ("Oh, I'm busy today." or "I'm sorry, I'm really tired now." exact mechanics are finicky)
If you're looking for the gameplay outside of recruitment, it's an okay game. Just don't be surprised when you can only have ONE Absol.

Get Explorers of Sky. Most content by far of any Pokemon game, and the best story. Also the best gameplay imo, I think RT’s mechanics were nearly perfect and Sky only improved them. Super’s gameplay is pretty overrated and it’s lackluster content-wise

I disagree with this anon >>38732355, the dungeon-crawling is redesigned so they're shorter but significantly sweeter, with better AI and tougher battles
