Zoroark movie had a shit story, shit ability you can see from a mile away, and a shit concept.
Lucario was blue, cool, had interesting concepts from the start, and an adorable fucking pre-evo(that was a surprise no less). How the hell can Zoroark compete when the way Lucario uses bone rush just BTFO's Zoroark?

terrible marketing. they gave it an unappealing role in its own movie, gated it behind an event in bw, and made its gimmick useless by introducing team preview. supposedly it also scared japanese kids, so they had to backpedal away from marketing it.
it's a shame, because zoroark at least isn't butt-ugly like lucario. on the other hand, it was refreshing to have a generation without a shillmon shoved down our throats.

I think it's the ability. I don't really feel like I'm using zoroark when illusion is up, and when it fades it becomes a Pokémon with no ability. They should realize the gimmick was a failure and just give it a new ability. Sheer force would do wonders
