>>38743553It's actually very normal, generally girls have crushes on fictional guys, and once they get their period and hormones start running wild they start crushing on real boys. It's very common for them to be very exaggerated about it, thinking it's true love, writing cheesy letters, getting extremely red just because their hands touched accidentally, etc.
I would know, I went through that stage from 11-13 and so did all my friends. Looking back it's incredibly embarrassing but we all acted like Serena. And no, there was nothing sexual about it, we would literally feel like fainting with something as little as the boy we like saying "Hello", it was all very innocent and childish.
