alolan forms were only there because hawaii is known for having unique evolutionary paths because of its unique ecosystems, so pokemon would have to adapt. There's no equivalent to that in Galar, which is a region that isn't that different from somewhere like sinnoh or kalos. On a meta level, game freak only introduced more alolan forms for gen 1 mons so they could have more dark/dragon/steel types for LGPE since it wouldn't have any otherwise.

UK may be an island, but it is extremely close to the rest of Europe, especially France. If Kalos didn't have regional variants, it stands to good reason that Galar won't either. Hawaii, conversely, is isolated by itself with very few neighboring civilizations.

Even if GF makes Let's Go Johto they'll have enough of the rare types available now that they don't have to make more regional forms since that's the only reason they made them. They won't make anymore because they only made them for themselves on a technical level and not for people to look forward to more of and enjoy. Game Freak doesn't know what the word "potential" means.
