Masuda here! Wednesday we’ll be showing off tons of new features for Pokémon Sword/Shield. But that comes with a price! For every new feature we add to the game, we must REMOVE a feature, as is tradition. What do you think that feature will be?

Remove the function to choose the language so you can never get past the language selection menu, thus making the games unplayable.

Pokemon battles are now removed from the game. Each time you talk to a trainer, the game calculates the strength of your Pokemon against theirs. Levels, types, moves, etc., and you automatically win or lose based on what the game decides. Also, you no longer control your own character. Their best friend is the main character and you must watch the 10 hour story cutscene and click through the dialogue. In the post game you're allowed to move your character around the "Battle Circus" and fight literal clowns. This is so the player can't move around Galar and accidentally end up exploring the region and discovering things on their own.

features are things that help improve the game quality
gimmicks are irrelevant shit that is used for selling our games

so megas and z moves are here to stay :^)

Honestly trying to think of a new feature that I would want them to keep but there isn’t any. Except sending your Pokémon to find evolution stones was a blessing.
