The point of Psyduck is that it's not adept to using psychic powers, which is why it has headaches in first place. Not being psychic type is consistent with this drawback. Now Golduck I can give you since it's supposed to have no such issue, if I had to explain it I'd guess it's supposed to be a special case and notorious for its proficiency with psychic powers without being a psychic itself, but not gonna pretend I can explain what's the difference between an esper and a non-esper with psychic powers.

I think Lickitung is a stretch. I understand the pink aspect but it’s just an albino chameleon. It is whimsical though I’ll give you that.

I like the jiggly line being part Normal because they are balloon animals which is pretty normal. Also they are heavily typed to sound. If sound ever happens I want both of these lines to be in it with Lickitung being Normal/Sound & Sound/Fairy for Jiggly

I agree that Kangaskhan should have been ground typed. It was mentioned to be on Giovanni’s line up for a while and it fits the bill. Craggy skin, kaiju esque, horns, shaped like a lizard fur/mascot suit like 20% of ground types.

Yokai’s are either Psychic, Dark, Fairy or Ghost. Ghost would be the cooool type yes. And Ghost is one my top 3. But it’s design doesn’t scream ghost. Lorewise sure.

About half of all Pokemon are yokai. I can name as many water yokais, grass yokais, fire yokais etc.

Also wyverns aren't proper dragons. Noivern should be Flying/Normal, Flying/Sound, or pure Flying instead of being Flying/Dragon.

Noibats german names are based on radio frequencies for no apparent reason since that is never mentioned as a trait it has. Mr. Mime is not gendered in japanese, it’s Mime San. But there are people making gender specific fakemons as counterparts not knowing this.

It happens a lot more than you’d think or hope.

The dex writers don’t get information on stat spreads either. Which is why Vikavolt is “super fast”. Compartmentalizations and intel restricting is to blame. They fear leaks more than most things

What about Grookey? It's every translation references rhythm which wouldn't be so common in these translations if they hadn't any previous information.
