Can we all agree that the way that evs are acquired is fucking stupid?

It's bad enough we don't get much interms of story, but we have to go through fucking hurtles to play online the right way.
Why can't have it like legend of mana where when one levels up, you can allocate certain stats to certain vaules, that's less of a headache for everyone.
