Now, I haven't studied trans demographics, but I feel pretty confident in saying that there's quite little overlap with this rather small demographic, and the demographic which is represented the most in gun violence, more than every other demographic combined.
Trannies getting shot at is outright a statistically insignificant problem, but if it's something that does concern you, I would suggest arming yourself, because being armed makes it significantly harder for someone else to kill you.
On the other hand, you're way overrepresented in suicide statistics (which I don't intend to gloat about, I actually think that's very sad), so you might want to think very hard about how confident and safe you feel with yourself and a weapon.
