I want to disagree, I really do. But uh, you're kinda right. Its a shame really, ghost only gets three megas. One of them's only shtick is destiny bond abuse, and the other is so screamingly OP that it caused the base form to be NERFED (has any other pokemon been so specifically targeted and nerfed before in the history of ever?) while also being banned from singles. And then there's mega sableye who makes everyone angry.

Japan has this legend about a Moon Rabbit making mochi, and "mochi" is part of Huge Power's Japanese name. As such, all the Pokemon with Huge Power are rabbits (Azumarill, Diggersby), or rabbit-like in appearance (Mega Mawile's two mouths look like ears)

Mega Garchomp actually isnt bad, just more specialized.
Megachomp is strictly a wallbreaker while Garchomp is more versatile, so it's used far more often.
But Megachomp is still decent as far as wallbreakers go. the Stealth Rock set is even gaining popularity because Megachomp forces just about every wall in the tier to switch.

yeah but it should have never had its speed lowered to begin with. Specialization is fine but mega pokemon should be the original but better, and megachomp is distinctly worse in one of the single most important stats in the game. If it had 10 less atk and 10 more speed then it'd easily remind the world why it was once considered the strongest non-legend in the game.

If we talk about design, there are far worse looking megas. Competitively on the other hand, mega audino is only viable in doubles while mega ampharos doesn't really make use of its new ability since the movepool doesn't give it any ground type attacks and most pokemon with lightning rod resist electric anyway. at least mega banette can be somewhat annoying for your opponent with destiny bond and status effects
