And in the opposite direction of pokemon, mtg art has been going down, they are using more and more artists that only digitally trace over photos(and poorly so), without to mention the stock quality that's not even laughable anymore at how bad it is, just look at Kess, it was banned because the stock quality was so bad it was visible in a shuffled deck, even with shield.
I had a bit of hope again with the early spoilers of modern horizons, but they clearly don't know what they are doing, since most of those cards are going straight to edh without a second thought. One thing I have to give in, the art in modern horizons is better than any other set since OG Innistrad a decade ago.
