I remember having a Beckett magazine for Pokémon cards and it even referred to Marill as Pikablue in the southern island set. This was around 1999.

I know I found most of them on sites like Gamewinners and Pokemon fansites. RageCandybar has an overview of everything but I really wish somebody did an exhaustive archival project for rumors like that.
