Nope, still don't like it. One the surface it looks new and exciting but then you realize that the free roaming shit is one area and that gigamax is just a temporary stat boost. This is Sun and Moon in disguise and I hope you don't fall for it.

The free roaming shit is absolutely huge and seems to encompass most of the game, judging by Ice Biome (unless that's just the weather)

Also, regardless as to if it's big or not, the leak says you will see other nearby trainers in this area
To me, this sounds like how online will work, and if that's the case.....it's 10000000000x better then festival plaza, especially if you can make a message for your character appear asking for battles or trades

This is what I'm HOPING. The leaker didn't say you could battle and trade trainers here, only that you'd see real players here every so often and you can also do raid battles there. It makes a lot of fucking sense to me to be able to battle and trade here too, but it's possible this isn't the case but it would've been a huge misoppertunity

Yes I'm hoping for lobbies that populate a (more than one, please) wild area for battles/trading/wild encounters. A logical incorporation of the appeal of Go. Perhaps also an option to have it turned on for normal gameplay somehow, so you encounter irl trainers with level capped pokes while playing the story. Let real players produce the no doubt missing difficultly.

Am I the only one who didn't really like the free roam stuff? The map looks pretty sparse and I doubt there'll be anything like deep woods or vertical exploration. It's just an empty plain to catch mons, sorta cool concept but nothing special
