Why though? You want the anime to properly reflect the games, but the MC can't ever actually win the final fight because that would give a feeling of finality and end the momentum of the show. They could solve this by just changing the MC every season but we're too far in for that so it would also kill the momentum of the show. You can't have a serious, actually competent bad guy org like the special comics because the anime is kiddie shit.
Let's be honest, everything you want from the anime, it'll never be able to give you. As such, SM is honestly the best form the anime can take. It breaks the expectations the games set, thus allowing it to drop all pretense and be what the anime has always been: slice of life adventures in pokemon world.
