N was the first character to look like a love interest and since he had no dialogue changes you could assume he's bi, but he's a Kaworu clone who are very well known for being gay in Japan and Hilbert was referenced more times in BW2 playing as Rosa, also referenced in future games and Hilda wasn't
plus a BW manga where he says he Hilbert (tho it wasn't exactly a romantic context despite the dialogue) and the Generations heroic rescue with the emotion theme..
Then you have the BW protags getting opposite sex implied love interest.
In LGPE you get a certain shipping scene with your rival that looks like he's about to kiss you regardless if you play as a boy or girl.
What I'm saying is that Game Freak is predictable in that regard.
