i really like replaying through emerald the most. You can breeze through the early game really fast which is what makes it a lot of fun and there's plenty of unique mons like Shroomish, Seedot/Lotad, Ralts, Slakoth, Whismur, Nincada, Aron, Electrike.
You can get to the 3rd gym in like 2 hours
