It's beautiful if you aren't too picky about graphics. It baffles me how people in this community are very critical of graphics, though, considering every Pokemon game has had last-gen graphics. And this game has better graphics than every other one thus far. This region feels a lot like Hyrule or Termina and gives me some nostalgia for that.

I wouldn't care about the graphics is people stopped acting like this is a visually beautiful game, it's painfully obvious that Game Freak is cutting as many corners as they can, actively damaging the visuals so they can make the most money from the lowest common denominator of consumers. The Pokemon designs look fine, given they future proofed the designs for the transition to Switch that was a smart move by them but the environments especially when you look at shit like the Starter Select scene from the trailer just looks hideous, the ground is somehow more pixelated than it was on the 3DS when its in a video.

The issue is not the graphics style you retards, they could still be using sprites and the game could still look great. The problem is that this looks like an incomplete game, as if it were still on early development.
If they're not even trying with the graphics, what can we expect from the gameplay? Maxiwhatever is just bland, lazy and boring compared to Megas and Zmoves, further proof they're not even trying any more.

Last year the porn ban completely destroyed the website. Tumblr kept having problems with people swapping around child porn that the app itself got removed from Google app store. Yahoo panicked, changed the site's rules, and threw together an incredibly incompetent AI to try to auto-ban images that vaguely look like porn to try to enforce said rules. This lead to a lot of completely sfw art and photos getting flagged and deleted. LGBT fags and prostitues were outraged and quit while most other users migrated to Twitter and other sites.
