For me it's getting to choose your hair color, skin color, and eye color separately instead of this pick a portrait bullshit.

There should REALLY be a fifth skin tone in between the brown and "fair" ones. They're either too dark or too light in my opinion.

I want a middling yellow/white skin tone and golden brown hair. I'm half polynesian and it was nice to pick someone who looked just not glowing white or the king kenya niggerest.

My biggest issue is that you have to be blonde for first two hours of the games in order to be white. I imagine they worry a proper character creator would confuse children and casuals

National Dex would be nice to have back, with Dex entries on every Pokemon.
A cool feature would be like in Pokemon Stadium where your Pokemon were slightly different shades. Would be nice to give a personal felling to each Pokemon.

I miss that too! Even if the national dex was only available after you beat the main story I'd be happy.
Would it be you choose the shade before battle or would every pokemon have the chance to be one of several shades when you catch it? OH or use those dumb furfrou wash place to dye your pokemon so they can be actually worthwhile

Maybe if you complete the regional dex you get the shiny charm and then get the national dex? Or do you prefer the challenge of completing the dex for the charm?

It's not that any are bad but I'm a bit of an autist and I like making a character to play as and it feels like an itch under my skin that I can't just choose instead of wait forever to finally make my character feel like they should.

They're always supposed to be Japanese. The skin tone is even slightly different. It's just that anime Japanese and anime whites tend to look almost identical.
