Seeing that its crown is has the same sort of pattern I'd either say the sword was created by it, or someone there other created it based on it or it could be a part of the package of being endowed with a sort of power to be this sort of knight with great offensive power. It could even be tied in with a third legendary Pokemon. Possibly a king or queen, or a combination of the two.

Perhaps we can even get a wizard Pokemon. Some sort of Fairy-type. Possibly with Psychic-type in the mix.

The weirdest thing about it isn't so much that it wields a Zacian has a sword. It's that this sort of Pokemon wields a sword. It doesn't make sense to give it to someone that doesn't have hands or claws. Zacian has to swing it's head around or run forward with it on side of it's target. I know it could hold the sword in a way that would make the blade stick out in front of it, but it's still cumbersome. Zacian has such limited mobility to swing the sword and it's Pokedex entry says that it wields it gracefully. That's such nonsense.

It's weird that one of them has a shield as a part of its body and the other is holding an unattached sword. I think that's why OP is suggesting it's a growth and not a separate object. One wolf is a shieldwolf and the other is just a wolf that happens to be holding a sword. It feels unbalanced.

I agree the sword is weird sentiment. With Farfetched or Kadabra at least they're extremely common objects in the wild, assuming there is more than one sword-dog pokemon, which generally canonwise there are more than one of each legendaries (There are like 4 canon Mewtwos so far for example) does each dogsword Pokemon just find a sword lying around or are they born with them?
The sword should have been part of it's body and organic, maybe a tail.

Yea but he puts the swords away somewhere.... delphox also has a “wand” or whatever u wanna call it but she puts it away in her fur. They cleverly designed those features so that the pokemon could seem more natural and it worked. I don’t get why they felt the need to not do this with zacian.
