I'm still in the same spot as the first reveal. Nothing interesting was really shown. Giant pokemon battles do nothing for me. Some of the pokemon looked cool though.

It seems like the entire wild area may be multiplayer, since we saw the group running up to the raid location separately, which I thiink would be amazing

Pretty good for Pokemon standards, average for console standards.
It's not like they can do much more with the mainline, that would require structural changes on how the franchise works and that wouldn't be well received by the people who expect yearly Kanto or Unova rehashes. The alternative would be to branch the mainlines into a console and handheld line like Zelda did in the late 90s.
