Also, it could actually be an argument for the opposite: if Tauros + Miltank are 100% Miltank, it's better for farms than if there was a species that also produced males
Then again that could be achieved with anything else too so nvm I guess

Yeah. GF just hates retconning gameplay stuff, hence cross evos always needing something that wasn't possible in prior gens (except Lickitung or Piloswine or whatever that one is that they fucked up)

SM's dex screen shows that Miltank and Tauros are considered counterparts now, since they share a page.
