What are the most autistic things you always do in each game?
>Only use two types of pokeballs so I can do a pattern before healing
>hand sort items in bag
>avoid every trainer before reaching destination and then double back
>research well thought out names for caught pokemon depending on their type, look and species
>sort pokemon in boxes by type

I always pick the male protaganist. I always use their official names. I refuse to alter their outfit or skin color through customization.
I do this thinking I'm keeping it as close to the canon as possible, despite knowing that there is in fact no canon protagonist.
Help me.

I never use rare candies

when I was a kid I didn't look stuff up online. I figured out that if I collect all the rare candies without using them, I could level up a single pokemon many times, then reset the game. I would do this to find out what moves they'll learn or when/ if they evolve.

Later when I got serious into breeding, I used the same method to check a Pokemon's IVs

Even though I dont do either of these anymore, i still just collect the candies and never use them.

Until character customization I always named mine Red or Gold or whatever, as soon as they let you customize it was clear to me that we were 'allowed' to self insert.

General balltism. Up until recently I had type autism and gender autism, though I don't mind that as much. I still have linguistic autism for nicknames, though again its less pronounced than it used to be.

The big one was having move placement autism. What I considered to be "standard attacks" (fly, slash, headbutt, tackle, scratch, pound) had to be in the top slot / top left corner. No elemental moves could be there, nor "secondary standard attacks" (horn attack, fury attack, quick attack, body slam). The only exception would be psychic for psychic types, and ice beam for non ice types. Primary elemental moves (thunderbolt, surf, flamethrower, etc.) go to the top right, unless you have a status move, which takes priority, except in the case of surf due to its low character count. The bottom two slots are taken up by the rest, so long as the character count is longer than the move above it.

Unless it just gets a better egg move(s) or hidden ability in a later gen, I prefer to obtain/breed my Pokemon in their native region or origin of a particular evolution.
