>>38839979If you'd played anything that isn't XB you'd know it's trash. Nintendo's worst controller by far for having gone off patent for some reason.
Meanwhile, the Joycon are actually great despite having huge hands. In part because of that, actually.
Running and moving the camera in games like BotW would be impossible if my thumb wasn't at just the perfect angle to do both like it is on the Joycon.
The huge separation on the Pro Controller makes it impossible to do so in a way that won't leave your hand crippled making you lose part of the reason to even have camera control to begin with.
The went of patent part is how they did the dpad, which makes it shit. Not as shit as the schlock MS produces for controllers, but close. I have a knock off wired XBO controller that I use on PC that isn't as shit as the Pro Controller in terms of the dpad for fuck sake.
Not something I ever expected to say about Nintendo because their controllers had always been great but they definitely went wrong with the Pro Controller. And they haven't gotten any better thus far either. Pro Controller is the only thing I bought launch day that I had any regret about. In this case it was quite literally all of the regret.
Not that any of this really matters.
Gen 8 is stated to be handheld. Trash Go was the console game and even it didn't support the Pro Controller so it's unlikely the specifically handheld game would.
And really, why would you not just play in handheld anyway? Not that the Jycon aren't perfectly comfortable wirelessly (far more so than any other controller in actuality since you don't have to have your hands close together in front of you only meaning you can sit more naturally).
As an autist who has had at least a decade of game time in their life if I could easily get used to it, anyone should be able to because their muscle memory etc. should be far less trained to sit in that one specific way compared to me.
