I think I saw a post where somebody calced Corviknight as 100 base HP? Not sure how they arrived at it though.

Still, it would be sensible for gamefreak to just make it a bulky attacker. If it's the evolution of an early route bird, they probably won't want it to be an all out wall

It was calculated from a screenshot of its HP at level 60. Assuming there was no HP investment it was somewhere around 93-109. I'd still wait for official confirmation but it does seem likely.

Celesteela does not steel Skarmory's job as a hazard setter or remover. It doesn't get roost either. It only shares the typing and is fucking annoying by other means.
Corviknight will almost for sure get roost and eventually defog through tutors if not naturally, but if it doesn't get rocks or more importantly spikes, Skar still have a role. Do not cry for him.

Corviknight would need to be obscenely bulky to fill Skarmory's role. Even if Corviknight does indeed have 100 HP, it would need 110 Def to match Skarmory bulk. I doubt it's that bulky, I'd wager ~80 Defense is more reasonable, and that's a significant downgrade for stall.
The real question is if Skarmory can keep up with power creep and still reliably check what it's supposed to, or if stall itself is still worth running in a gen that potentially has Dynamaxing, Z-moves, and Megas all at once.

Well, with dynamaxing being limited to 3 turns, it may be possible to play around with some combination of Protect, Roost, and Sturdy, depending on what gets supersized. Still, it is a lot of power flying around, and the short term boosts definitely favor offense

Unnerve leads me to believe Corviknight will be more of a doubles staple due to the abundance of berries in that format compared to singles. Skarmory has always seen better use in singles, so if it could survive Celesteela, Corviknight shouldn't be a problem.
