I don't know where you come from, or what board you regularly frequent.
Our staff box doesn't nuke threads in their entirety unless the whole of the thread is violating rules, or the OP is violating the rules.
The staffbox here goes through threads, and delete/bans individual users instead of nuking threads.
It has been this way for about 2/3 years now.
There used to be a day where thread nuking was the regular, however that simply isn't the case anymore.
Essentially, we have a good staff box here at /vp/ who doesn't instant delete things they don't like.
In fact, they are a little bit more sociopathic about the things they don't like, opting to publicly ban and hunt down evaders and delete the posts they make in their evasion.
The only weakness the /vp/ staff box has is "Slow emergency response" and "Weak Flood Defenses"
Other than that, they aren't the type to let their egos destroy a thread, but rather individual users.
As it should be.
