flat trees, copy pasted clouds, uhhhh idk what else people even complain about, its all kind of whatever. gamefreak SHOULD do better but it wont ruin the games for me. the one bad thing to me is the new in battle UI looks ridiculously badly done to me. i hope they change that before release though i wont be surprised if they don't.
as for the trainers, we haven't seen that much yet, but i think they're going towards a more loose and kiddie style like the SM anime. i'm also personally fine with that, and some of them are ridiculous, but pokemon games are often at their best being a bit ridiculous, so i'm okay with that too.
