But yeah that's pretty crazy when you think about it. No one in the Pokemon world seems to be more concerned over the fact that this singular Meowth managed to develop human speech through sheer willpower. Even with all the crazy shit in Pokemon, this still sticks in my head

Actually everyone that sees and listens to team rocket Meowth is either fascinated, shocked, interested in catching it (and many trainers even launched a poke ball at it barely catching it at first try) or study it. A lot of people reacted to that singularity

the best one was in the pokemon electric tail of pikachu manga where Team Rocket crash an event with Professor Oak and Bill, after finishing their intro, Oak and Bill marvel over Meowth's ability to speak and kidnap him.

Jessie and James do jack to stop this, shrug, and they battle Ash.

He just did.
He overheard a class of kids saying some tongue twister and managed to mimic them in just a couple of tries.
Then he taught himself how to speak and read with nothing but a few children's books.
