Also, it doesn't SEEM to require a hold item, although I'm not sure if mega stones and Z-crystals were announced immediately or not. It seems that instead, you can only do it in specific locations, which I actually like a lot because it means you won't just be able to brainlessly steamroll the whole game with it.
