okay so i didn't use the same nintendo account on my 3ds as i did my switch

am i still gonna be able to somehow transfer my pokemon from US/UM to SwSh when the time comes?

i mean worst case i suppose i can buy SwSh on a separate account on my switch, but i couldn't remember if you could even use the same account for one that you could the other

Ask Nintendo/Pokémon support what can be done. Maybe as Home is completely different to Bank, it'll let you connect a Bank ID that's not the same as the Switch ID.

Drooling spacker, Game Freak made sure moving pokémon from Gen to Gen was possible since Gen III, even going as far as to re-tell the story of how not being able to connect Gen II and III made lots of people angry as they couldn't take their collections forward. Fucking with people's collections is not something they'll willingly do again, they learned their lesson back in the early days.

i really hope home turns out okay
i didn't think i'd be this attached but i finally got the chance to transfer some of my pokemon from when i was an early teenager and I don't want them to go :(
