>>38862635>I can think of very few artists that full on keep exclusives of their art. The lower res stuff, fair enough, but most people like to share what they're up to.I can literally only think of a single artist that did not keep their stuff Patron-exclusive, nearly everyone else I saw had exclusive content there.
>Because they like the designs, and enjoy drawing them.Or, the far more logical conclusion, they are popular and it's what people like to see. And now they can't draw this popular thing people like to see anymore. You think people who pretty much got known for almost exclusively doing pokemon stuff are just going to replace all of it with sparkledog OC and nobody will mind?
>There is the issue where doing large amounts of work for free is not a great choice when your earnings depend entirely upon the whims and interests of the world at large. They were doing it for free long before Patreon was a thing, and many got by on commissions and other such work which their free work got them exposure for. They can still do commissions and non-pokemon Patron work, but they are going to have less people attracted to their work if they had sucha Pokemon focus and don't even put that stuff on non-paid sites anymore.
>>38862569>Hi kurodood>I hope your shitty patreons leaveHis Patreon was almost exclusively Pokemon for the last few years. I don't mean even just his comic (of which I believe he had three, all three of which were pokemon related) but all of his OCs, other's OCs, other's requests, almost all of it exclusively Pokemon for years. I can't imagine most would want to stay to see non-Pokemon sparkledogs. He can't even use any of his OCs or fursonas anymore because even all of those were Pokemon.
