Actually, Feebas was even more difficult to find in Sinnoh than in Hoenn, and the difference of the 5th gen with Galar, is that to get a Feebas you had to fish in rippling water spots which were not very easy to appear, get the Feebas in the 5th gen it was relatively easy, but trying to find a wild Milotic was absolutely insane, having to wait for a rippling water spot to come out and only 5% of it to appear.
In general, the 5th gen let you try to find fully evolved pokemon, but with absurd odds with which anyone can despair. Indeed, I don't like it how in the Sword & Shield trailer due to the OW Encounters, the game seems to give you fully evolved mons without any difficult. Although I may be wrong and are difficult and unlikely as hell, but I do not like the devaluation that is being applied to wild pokemon (or at least it seems that way).
