But going off my previous point of replayability. I've played through gen 1, 2, 3, and 4 with every unique starter for that region. Gen 5 fucking sucks. I'll be honest I like the snake, the pigs final evo shiny is dope, and the water samurai is cool. But besides the water line, the mid evolutions are forgettable. 6th gen chespin is the most forgettable starter of all time. The dress for fenekins line is a sin.

Anyways all of gen 8s starters look fantastic. I'm hoping it's a good sign for Pokemon starters to start becoming foundational to a region again.
