>>38855230The problem is the giant red skirt/dress of fur covering them, you can even see her feet sticking out from the bottom. GameFreak did a pretty bad job with the design of the model, especially in regards to how that triangle of a skirt moves. When people discovered that there was unused walking and running animations for all the Pokemon in Sun/Moon and were able to display them, the design of it's legs made a lot more sense when you could see how it walks and runs. The main issue is still that red skirt however since it just acts as one giant solid piece, makes it look awkward because it disguises nearly all movement and visibility of it's legs, making it look like traffic cone that's shuffling across the ground if you aren't paying attention.
GameFreak likely didn't want to bother to put the work in to make the skirt actually deform when it moved it's legs rather than remain it's solid single shape, that simple action would have helped make it look a lot less awkward.
