Hop is literally a recycled Hau. Ever since around Gen 6 there's been a trend of rivals who have a nauseatingly happy personality ALL the time. Where are the assholes like Blue and Silver? The level headed, down to earth rivals like May and Dawn, or the calculating/airhead duo like Cheren and Bianca? Fuck I'd even accept a retard like Barry at this point.
