alright so I'm an autistic namefag

I caught a shiny in HeartGold and I want to nickname it before I transfer it however I'm not sure if I should do all caps or Just capitalize the first letter.

It's the same with my trainer name, the all caps names trigger me in future games where only the first letter is capitalized, I face this same problem with Crystal.

Literally wat do?

Hmm you could breed it in the new game and avoid this issue entirely. Just use a ball you like at this point and worry about it later

Later generations don't allcaps the pokemon names so neither should you if you plan to transfer it. As for the name, there's nothing you can do outside of >>38860672, but you'll only see that on the summary page, if that softens the blow.
