cartoony, loose, kinda okay. the starters are trash but the other mons they've shown thusfar are okay. box legends remind me of incineroar's design a lot, idk if that really means anything tho.

the legendaries are easily the worst designed legendaries in the series, Sobble looks like plush toy garbage trying too hard to be cute to pander to tumblrinas, Drednaw and Gossifleur look like Temtems, and the sheep is one of the most bland Pokemon of all time

the only ones that actually pass as good Pokemon designs are Corviknight and Eldegoss.

"Digimon" designs are overly complicated and busy, whereas "TemTem" designs are more simple but gaudy and obnoxiously or poorly colored. That's how I see it at least.

Honestly, I like it. Start off simple and cute designs and as the pokemon evolve, they become more complicated and intimadating...like you worked to achieve that form and not going from icecream cone one to icecream cone two, but even gen 1 had the same problem.

I don’t know why. And i quite can’t put my finger on what it is exactly but they just don’t feel like Pokemon. Atleast not like the other generations. They are definitely a new kind of art style. And it makes sense considering that there is a new art director for these games in particular. Do i prefer this art style over the other one? Short answer. No.
