I found a 2ds for 50 euro and I want to buy it and hack it and install homebrew then use pkhex with ultra sun to generate all the gen 1-7 pokemon competitive ready and then when pokemon home comes out I can send them all to sword and shield. Is this a good idea? Breeding is shit and if I have to breed then I only want to breed for gen 8 mons

Why do you want competitive Pokémon on-cartridge? Showdown is pretty much a superior experience other than the graphics, unless you're playing in VGC. Showdown is faster, lets you change Pokémon instantly, has (Mutable) chat...

If you are playing in VGC, then as >>38870085 says, you won't be able to use Pokémon transferred from Gen 7.
