By the way, if white actors playing black roles is offensive because it traces down to times when blacks were oppressed and deprived of participation in the culture, then isn't men dressing as women on stage reminiscent of the times when women were completely marginalized and cut off from culture, so all female roles were played by men in theaters (often in a mocking way)?
