Saw the film yesterday, has some major pacing issues, it's like set piece after set piece after set piece, nothing seemed to flow naturally. And what about those fucking giant Torterra? Sure it was a cool visual, but they where completely glossed over.

Just saw it. It was alright.
I don't know if I wasn't paying attention but it felt like some scenes were longer in the trailer than in actual movie. The plot was pretty cliche but it worked, I guess. NotDynamaxed Torterra were pretty cool even though it didn't go anywhere.

But above all the pokémon shown weren't 100% from KANTOOO and the humor wasn't as cringy as I feared it would be so I'm satisfied.

Because the brand needs to assert it's not chained to the anime, which many non-fans and wannabes fail to understand.

The worldbuilding of Pokémon is far more established now and we don't need to make it just about Ash.
